The Zorya Barbie Trash Tartan Skirt is an ALT CVLT original and it lands exactly where it should, somewhere between Courtney Love's trash-glamour peak and a Scottish punk who discovered Hole in 1994 and never recovered. The pleated mini cut keeps the grunge energy dialled up while the stretchy shirring waistband means you can actually move, dance, kick, exist at a show without negotiating with your clothing. The name is doing its job too: Zorya is a Slavic mythological figure, Barbie Trash is a whole aesthetic era, and tartan is forever. It's a lot of cultural reference packed into one skirt and that's entirely the point.
