Finnish black metal has always had its own atmosphere, something colder and more desolate than the Norwegian template, more willing to let folk and doom drag it down into the peat. Wyrd sit comfortably in that lineage, and Kammen is where those threads pull tightest.

Released in 2007, this is Wyrd at their most atmospheric, blending raw black metal with melancholic folk sensibility and doom-laden pacing. If you know your Moonsorrow or your Primordial, you'll understand the register immediately. This isn't blast-beat nihilism, it's long, grey, northern, and patient in the way only Finnish artists seem to manage.
