Australian black metal was doing something genuinely strange in the late nineties, and VORAK were deep in the thick of it. Rhetoric of the Supermen lands in that corroded space where industrial noise and black metal stop being separate things, a record that sounds like machinery dreaming of war.

Released in 1998 out of the same antipodean underground that was quietly producing some of the most unhinged dark metal on the planet, this is not a comfortable listen. It is an intentional one.
