Rotten Vomit is a full length that leans into the death/doom end of the Swedish tradition, less HM-2 crunch, more festering crawl. There's an old school reverence here that doesn't feel nostalgic so much as inevitable, like this is simply what heavy sounds like when you stop trying to modernise it. For a scene that sometimes disappears up its own production budget, a record this committed to sounding like a damp basement is quietly refreshing.
