Mid-2000s metalcore had a specific texture, equal parts fury and anthemic melodic hook, and Still Remains were one of the more underrated acts working that vein. Of Love & Lunacy is the Grand Rapids five-piece at their sharpest, wrapping screamed verses and clean-sung choruses around a genuine sense of emotional wreckage that never quite tips into schmaltz.

Released in 2005 on Metal Blade, this sits comfortably alongside the wave of records that made metalcore actually matter for a while, before the genre ate itself. If you were in the pit at Soundwave circa 2007, or wore out a copy of The War Within, this one belongs in your collection. It's got the aggression without sacrificing the hooks, and the production still holds up better than you'd expect from that era.
