Before Reign in Blood made them household names in every suburban hellhole, Slayer were doing something genuinely terrifying. Hell Awaits, 1985, was the album that proved this wasn't a phase.

That inverted cross logo and the chaos-summoning artwork belong on the back of a battle jacket, full stop. This is thrash metal at its most unhinged, and wearing this patch is a declaration that you've actually listened to Side A all the way through.
