Irish prog metal doesn't get nearly enough credit. While everyone was looking at Scandinavia, Sandstone were over in Ireland doing the slow, heavy, atmospheric thing with genuine conviction.

Progressive structure, dark melodic sensibility, and enough weight to satisfy the metal crowd without losing the nuance that makes prog worth bothering with. Not flashy, just solid, heavy, and serious about what it's doing. The kind of album that reveals itself over multiple listens rather than front-loading everything in the first two tracks.
