PINK FLOYD (DSOTM) Oval Patch
Dark Side of the Moon spent 937 weeks on the Billboard charts. That's not a statistic, that's a haunting.
Released in 1973, it remains one of those rare records that genuinely altered what people thought rock music could do, a meditation on greed, time, mental collapse, and the particular madness of modern life that somehow also works as a background for every altered state imaginable. Roger Waters wrote it partly as a response to Syd Barrett's deterioration, which gives the whole thing a weight that never quite lifts no matter how many times you've heard it. The prism logo has been a shorthand for psychedelic rock and dark aesthetic curiosity for over fifty years now, and this oval patch wears that history without flinching. Goes on anything.
