Gothenburg built its reputation on melodic death metal. Fredrik Eytzinger decided to take that address and do something considerably darker with it.

Formed in 2018, The Other Sun arrived with a sound that sits somewhere between occult rock, doom, and the kind of heavy psychedelia that makes you feel like you've wandered into a ritual you weren't invited to. Daimon, Devil, Dawn, released July 2024, is the full-length arrival that the Horizon Between the Eyes EP was pointing toward, a record that commits fully to its own mythology without blinking. This is dark aesthetic music for people who don't need it explained to them, rooted in the same Scandinavian soil that's been growing interesting, unsettling things for decades.
