Before hyperpop existed as a genre, Jimmy Urine and crew were already doing something no one had a name for. MSI spent the early 2000s being too punk for the industrial kids, too electronic for the punk kids, and too unhinged for basically everyone else. Good.

The Pay For It EP landed in 2008, deep in the band's imperial phase when they were selling out shows on the strength of pure chaos and a fanbase that treated the pit like a religious experience. Five tracks of that signature NYC aggression, all drum machine spite and Lyn-Z bass and Jimmy screaming things that would get a lesser band cancelled before they finished the set.
