LORDI are the band that won Eurovision in full monster regalia and made the entire continent briefly question what it had done. Finland sent its demons to the polite pop contest and won. This is not a group that does things quietly.

Since Mr Lordi assembled his cast of costumed creatures in Rovaniemi in the nineties, the band has been a reliable intersection of heavy metal theatrics, horror imagery, and complete commitment to the bit. They wear the masks. Always. No press appearances without full creature makeup. That kind of dedication to a dark aesthetic is something the alternative and gothic scenes can deeply respect. If your walls are already holding Alice Cooper, Ghost, or Gwar, LORDI belongs in that company.
