Layers of fine woven chain meet at a round violet cabochon that shifts like an oil slick in candlelight, framed in rings and hung with pale drops and tiny stars. It lives at the softer end of the dark scene: the Victorian mourning tea, the fairy goth reading tarot by moonlight, the wedding where the bride insisted on lilac and a little menace. Delicate to look at, still metal underneath. Pretty things bite too.
