IRON MAIDEN Book of Souls Back Patch
Iron Maiden releasing a double album at this point in their career was either the most arrogant thing imaginable or a completely logical move for a band who have never once played it safe. Book of Souls, it turns out, was just Maiden being Maiden, which is to say: enormous, ridiculous, and better than they had any right to be.
Eddie's Heart, the artwork from that 2015 record, is Mayan-influenced and genuinely unsettling in the way only Derek Riggs-era Maiden imagery gets under your skin. It's a newer patch but it sits comfortably next to the classics on a battle jacket, because Maiden's iconography has always existed outside of time. This is the band that outlasted every trend in heavy metal while everyone else chased them. The patch belongs on your back.
