Before thrash had a name, Germany was already screaming. Iron Angel formed in Hamburg in the early eighties and their 1985 debut Hellish Crossfire is one of those records that sounds like it was recorded inside a burning petrol station, in the best possible way.

The logo patch is the kind of thing that belongs on a denim jacket that already has too much going on. Speed metal credibility, zero explanation required to anyone who matters.
