I Have A Goat sit somewhere in the chaotic overlap between pub punk, alt rock and the kind of DIY Australian underground that produced some of the country's most unhinged and loveable records. This is the stuff that gets played loud in small venues with sticky floors and not enough PA coverage, and that is absolutely a compliment. The title is a direct line to a specific strain of Australian larrikin punk that never really gets the credit it deserves outside the scene, and this record is a reminder of why it should.
