GUNS N ROSES (GNR) Appetite For Destruction Patch

There are few debut albums in rock history that hit as hard or as ugly as Appetite for Destruction. Raw, reckless, and soaked in cheap whiskey, it's the sound of a band who genuinely did not know if they'd survive long enough to make a second record.

The cross and skulls artwork from that original Robert Williams painting, controversial enough to get the cover pulled and replaced, is one of the most recognisable images in hard rock. Wearing it on your jacket is a shorthand for a particular kind of chaos appreciation. GNR don't get talked about enough in punk and metal circles, but Appetite sits comfortably next to anything coming out of the LA underground scene at the time, and the riffs hold up without apology.
