FLOTSAM AND JETSAM Dreams Of Death Clear Vinyl (2013)
Flotsam and Jetsam are one of the great nearly-men of American thrash metal, which makes every proper reissue of their catalogue feel like an overdue correction.
Dreams of Death pulls from the Gruesome Songs for Gruesome People era and leans hard into the band's power-thrash hybrid, that Arizona tightness that always sat somewhere between the Bay Area's technical edge and the melodic punch of mid-period metal. Jason Newsted played on their debut, quit for Metallica, and Flotsam went on to make records that deserved more column inches than they got. This 2013 clear vinyl pressing is a limited edition, which in practice means you either grab it now or spend years explaining to people why you passed on it.
Limited edition clear vinyl, 12" LP, 2013 pressing, USA. Fans of: Hirax, Toxik, Forbidden Evil, Overkill, Agent Steel, Heathen, Sacred Reich.
