The Gothenburg progressive metal outfit have always been a live proposition, all brooding atmosphere and Tom Englund's voice doing things that politely defy explanation, and this 2004 Göteborg hometown show captures them at a particular peak, touring behind The Inner Circle and absolutely knowing it.

A Night to Remember earns the title. Spread across two discs, it pulls from across their catalogue with the kind of setlist sequencing that rewards people who've sat with every album. If you've ever tried to explain to someone why progressive metal doesn't have to mean twenty-minute keyboard solos, put this on. Dark, emotionally direct, technically serious without being sterile, Evergrey sit in a space adjacent to Pain of Salvation and early Queensrÿche but entirely their own.
