ENVENOMED have been a fixture of the Australian heavy metal underground since the mid-2000s, and The Walking Shred is exactly what the title promises. Melodic thrash with genuine speed metal teeth, the kind of record that makes you want to dig out your old patches and argue about Forbidden albums. This is Melbourne doing what Melbourne does when nobody's watching the mainstream, which is making heavy music with actual conviction. Supporting local underground metal is rarely this easy.
