ENTHRONED Tetra Karcist CD (2007)

Some bands chase credibility. Enthroned just kept showing up with records that didn't ask for your approval. Tetra Karcist, released in 2007, is the sound of a band who had already buried the scene and moved on.

This one leans harder into the ceremonial occult framework that Nornagest had been building across the band's catalogue, drawing on Thelema and Left Hand Path doctrine in a way that feels less like aesthetic posturing and more like genuine preoccupation. The songwriting is complex without being self-indulgent, the black metal aggression intact but channelled through something with actual structure and intent. It's not the entry point for the project but it rewards the listener who arrives with context. Think of it as the deeper cut that justifies going back to the beginning.
