Emperor are one of the few Norwegian black metal acts that crossed over without selling out, influencing everything from symphonic metal to post-black, and remaining genuinely untouchable in the canon. This oversized shield patch is the right way to claim that allegiance on a jacket or vest, bold enough to anchor a whole back panel or hold its own as the centrepiece it clearly wants to be.
