There are bands that play tight and then there is Dillinger Escape Plan, a group that made controlled chaos into something that felt almost mathematical in its violence.

Miss Machine The DVD is the visual companion to their 2004 album, a record that pushed their mathcore sound into stranger, more dissonant territory and divided exactly the right people. The compilation pulls together music videos, live footage, and extras that give you the full picture of a band operating at a level most metalcore acts couldn't touch. If the album felt like a panic attack set to odd time signatures, the DVD captures what it looked like in a room, which was, by all accounts, genuinely alarming. Greg Puciato fronting DEP live is one of those things the alternative and metal underground still talks about. This is documentation of why.
