Sacramento's finest refused to be boxed in. While the late nineties were busy sorting bands into neat genre piles, Deftones were doing something else entirely, blurring metal, shoegaze, dream pop and pure aggression into a sound that still sounds like nothing else. That tension never got old.

This maxi poster is the kind of thing that belongs above a record shelf or on the wall of a bedroom where someone has strong opinions about White Pony versus Around the Fur. A dark aesthetic centrepiece for anyone deep enough into alternative and metal culture to know that Chino Moreno cried on stage and made it cool.
