Cult Mind sit in that bruising pocket where hardcore and punk share a blood type, the kind of band that owes something to the 80s American hardcore lineage but isn't cosplaying it. Infected carries that same blunt-force urgency that made the genre matter in the first place, uncomfortable, physical, and not particularly interested in whether you're keeping up. This is alternative fashion adjacent in the best sense: the kind of record that goes with a circle pit scar and a ruined pair of boots.
