Cradle of Filth spent the 90s and 2000s being the band your parents feared and your school librarian almost certainly had an opinion about. Suffolk's finest practitioners of symphonic black metal theatrics, they built a universe of Victorian horror, Romantic poetry, and genuinely unhinged album art that still holds up as some of the most maximalist dark aesthetic output the genre ever produced. From Dusk and Her Embrace to Cruelty and the Beast, COF were doing literary gothic horror before the algorithm had a category for it. This classic seal patch belongs on a battle jacket that means business.
