There are not many Australian bands doing what Coffin Carousel does, which is probably why they've built such a devoted cult following doing exactly it. Industrial horror metal from Melbourne's underground, and they've named the album after themselves, which is either supreme confidence or a warning.

The self-titled full length dropped in 2023 and it lands exactly where you'd expect from a band who treat horror not as aesthetic but as infrastructure. If you came in through Rob Zombie's carnival-of-flesh era or found yourself deep in a Marilyn Manson phase that never quite ended, this is the next logical stop on the dark ride. Coffin Carousel have been doing the rounds long enough to know how to write an album that actually holds together start to finish, and this one does.
