Death metal supergroups are a gamble, except when the people involved are Mikael Åkerfeldt, Peter Tägtgren, and a shared obsession with making something genuinely disgusting.

Bloodbath launched in 1998 as a Swedish death metal side project and became something much harder to dismiss, channeling the rotting, down-tuned DNA of early Death, Autopsy, and Possessed into records that reminded everyone what the genre was actually for. Survival of the Sickest, their 2022 album with Nick Holmes on vocals, kept that lineage intact, brutal and deliberate and completely uninterested in accessibility. This patch is for the jacket that already has Cannibal Corpse on it and needs something that shows the homework got done.
