Benea Reach came out of Oslo in the mid-2000s and Alleviat is the record that put them on the radar of anyone paying attention to the heavier end of the alternative music underground. Progressive structures, post-metal atmospherics, hardcore intensity, the kind of album that rewards multiple listens because there's always something happening in a layer you missed. Not a band that gets the recognition they deserve, which makes finding a physical copy of this one worth something.
