Death metal has a lot of pretenders. Autopsy are not one of them. Since 1987, Chris Reifert and company have been doing the slow, ugly, genuinely disturbing end of the genre better than almost anyone, and Mental Funeral remains one of the most oppressive records ever committed to tape.

Slap this on a vest, a bag, or anywhere that needs a dose of old-school death metal credibility. Not gore for gore's sake, just a band who understood that sometimes slower is scarier, and filth is a legitimate aesthetic choice in the dark alternative fashion canon.
