Brighton's Architects have spent the better part of two decades being the band that metalcore kids reluctantly admit changed them. Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit is where they leaned further into the anthemic and didn't apologise for it.

The 2022 album landed post-For Those That Wish to Exist, carrying the same stadium-sized ambition but with sharper hooks and a production style that borrows as much from alternative rock and industrial textures as it does from their heavy roots. Sam Carter's vocals do the heavy lifting on a record built around big choruses and the kind of riffs that sound designed to be played at volume in a car park.
