2006 was a pivotal year for deathcore, and All Shall Perish were one of the reasons why. While a lot of their Bay Area contemporaries were still figuring out how brutal to go, The Price of Existence arrived fully formed and swinging.

This is the album that put All Shall Perish in serious conversation alongside Job for a Cowboy and Whitechapel as architects of the American deathcore sound. The riffs are technical without being cold, the breakdowns hit with actual purpose, and Chris Storey's guitar work throughout remains legitimately impressive fifteen-plus years later. If you came up on Suicide Silence and Carnifex and somehow missed this one, that's an oversight worth correcting.
