The solo project of Jake Robertson, Alien Nosejob is one of the most reliably unhinged things happening in Australian punk right now, and Suddenly Everything is Twice as Loud is exactly what it sounds like.

Prolific doesn't begin to cover it. Robertson has put out more records than most bands manage in a decade, and the quality control is somehow still intact. This one leans into the garage punk and lo-fi noise pop territory that made him a cult figure in the Australian underground, all blown-out production, catchy hooks you'll be embarrassed to admit stuck with you, and an absolute refusal to slow down. If you buy records because you care about what's actually going on in the local alternative scene rather than what's been approved by an algorithm, this is where you start.
