Hammersmith Odeon, July 1983. Dire Straits were somewhere in the middle of a set so tight and unhurried it made everyone else look like they were rushing to catch a tram. Alchemy is the document of that night, one of the great live recordings, and it sounds just as good now as it did when people were taping it off the radio onto TDK cassettes.
