Wooden Stake and Blizaro are both deep in the American doom underground, the kind of acts that trade in fog-thick riffs, occult horror imagery, and a genuine reverence for the old ways. Think Coffins-slow tempos meeting the murky dungeon-crawl atmosphere of early Cathedral, with a healthy dose of vintage horror film worship keeping things interesting. This 2011 split is a proper artifact for collectors working through the death/doom underground or anyone whose record shelf already has a dedicated section for the ugly stuff.
