Australian grindcore has always had a particular flavour, somewhere between genuine menace and an almost cheerful contempt for good taste, and this split 7" from Womb to Tomb and Kolostomy Bag lands firmly in that tradition. Homegrown, ugly, and over before you've had time to object.

Both acts operate in the grindcore, death metal, and punk overlap that produced Blood Duster and King Parrot, bands who understood that speed and absurdity aren't mutually exclusive. This is a local release on ALT CVLT, which means it's the kind of thing you won't find on a Spotify algorithm or in a chain store. Split EPs at this weight class are documents of a scene doing the work, and Australia's extreme underground keeps producing them regardless of who's paying attention.
