Harald Spengler, the man behind Lee Tarot, spent the better part of three decades building Stormwitch into one of Germany's most underappreciated melodic metal institutions. This is what came after, and it landed like a final chapter written in full knowledge of what that meant.

Tarot's Legacy is Witchbound's debut, released in 2015 and soaked in the same dark romanticism Spengler perfected across the Stormwitch years, swords and shadows, medieval atmosphere, hooks that stick around longer than they should. If you came up on the German power and melodic metal underground and you know your Steeler from your Running Wild, this one fills a gap you didn't know was still open. Spengler passed not long after, which makes this record something heavier than just a comeback.
