VOIVOD Patch

Voivod are one of the strangest success stories in heavy music, a band from a Quebec mining town who took thrash metal and fed it through a science fiction novel, a prog record collection, and what sounds like a genuine anxiety about the industrial future of the planet.

Active since 1982 and still releasing records, they exist in a category mostly of their own making, sitting in that uncomfortable and brilliant space between Destruction-speed aggression and the kind of angular, dissonant riffing that makes you feel like you're reading Neuromancer in a factory. This patch is for people who know the difference between Killing Technology and Nothingface and have opinions about which one hits harder. Excellent company for a jacket that already has Coroner and Dark Angel on it.
