Unauthorised. The word does a lot of heavy lifting here. This is not the carefully managed PR version of U2's story, it's a spoken word interview compilation from 2004 that exists somewhere between fan document and bootleg artefact.

More Maximum U2 is part of that early 2000s wave of interview discs that flooded second-hand bins and mail order catalogues, the kind of thing serious collectors grabbed for completeness and casual fans grabbed out of curiosity. Whether the content flatters the band or catches them in an unguarded moment is part of the appeal. It's a time capsule of a band at a particular crossroads, filtered through no official lens whatsoever.
