Australian post-punk has always had a particular kind of weather in it, grey and humid and slightly threatening, and Tim & The Boys bottle that atmosphere on Growing.

This is noise rock and indie rock pushed up against each other in a small room until something interesting starts to bleed through the walls. It sits comfortably in that tradition of Australian alternative music that doesn't need to look overseas for permission, gritty, unpolished in the right places, and more interested in tension than resolution.
