Before Dustin Kensrue was writing theology into post-hardcore, there was this, the 2014 reissue of the record that started it all. Identity Crisis is raw, restless, and sounds like a band figuring out exactly how heavy they want to get before they blow the whole thing up.

Thrice are one of those bands that every serious alternative music head has a relationship with, whether it's this one, The Artist in the Ambulance, or the full Alchemy Index deep cut. This debut sits at the scrappier end of the catalogue, post-hardcore with a punk spine and a vocalist who was already too good for the genre constraints. The 2014 reissue brought it back for the devoted.
