Aleister Crowley was banned from multiple countries, sued by his own publisher, and called the wickedest man in the world by a tabloid he later sued successfully. He also designed one of the most intellectually demanding tarot decks ever produced, and nearly a century later it still hasn't been topped.

The Thoth Tarot isn't a casual deck. Crowley spent years working with artist Frieda Harris, whose training in projective geometry gives every card that eerie, prismatic depth, forms folding in on themselves like sacred architecture seen through a fever. The kabbalistic and astrological attributions run deep, drawn from Crowley's own Book of Thoth, and the whole system rewards serious study. This is the deck that serious practitioners return to, the one sitting dog-eared on the shelf of everyone who went down the rabbit hole of the Western esoteric tradition and never really came back.
