The Bay Area thrash scene produced a lot of contenders, but Testament always had a technical edge that separated them from the pack, the kind of tightness that comes from being forged in the same crucible as Exodus and Death Angel and refusing to blink.

Brotherhood of the Snake, their 2016 return to form, reminded everyone that Testament never needed a comeback arc because they never really left. If your battle jacket is already carrying Kreator and Destruction, this belongs in the rotation. Thrash is not a nostalgic exercise at ALT CVLT, it's a living, breathing, still-very-loud part of the alternative music landscape, and the patch collection reflects that.
