Terrorizer wrote the blueprint for grindcore with World Downfall in 1989 and then disappeared for fifteen years. When they came back, they didn't apologise for any of it. Hordes of Zombies is their third record, a double LP of pure Los Angeles death-grind punishment that proves the original spirit never rotted.

Pete Sandoval behind the kit, Oscar Garcia on vocals, Jesse Pintado's shadow still looming over every riff. This is ugly, fast, and completely serious about being neither of those things in a polished way. If your entry point to extreme metal was Repulsion or early Napalm Death, this sits in that same filthy continuum. Essential for any dark aesthetic record collection that doesn't pretend grindcore is a phase.
