Diaphonisation is a process that clears animal tissue and stains bone and cartilage with vivid dyes, turning biological structure into something that looks like it came out of a fever dream or a deep-sea documentary. The suckers are fully visible, the internal geometry of the thing is laid bare, and the overall effect sits somewhere between scientific specimen and dark art object. It belongs in a gothic home, on a collector's shelf, or anywhere people understand that the macabre and the beautiful are not opposites.
