Sublime existed for about a decade, released three proper albums, and somehow embedded themselves permanently into the DNA of anyone who grew up near a skate park or a beach town in the 90s. Bradley Nowell was pulling from reggae, punk, hip-hop and hardcore in a way that felt effortless because it genuinely was, a Long Beach kid who learned from the Grateful Dead and Bad Brains in equal measure. The ska-punk revival owed them a debt it could never repay. Small patch, big feelings.
