The End, So Far is their seventh studio album and their first on their own Roadrunner imprint, which felt like a symbolic moment for a band that has always operated slightly outside the rules of what heavy metal is supposed to do commercially. It's slower and more atmospheric in places than the pure chaos of Iowa, leaning into the dark alternative and gothic textures that were always underneath the noise, while still delivering the kind of riffs that make you want to break something expensive. Corey Taylor described it as the band evolving, and for once that's not just press release language. This clear vinyl pressing is a sharp physical object for a band whose catalogue deserves shelf space.
