SLEEPING WITH SIRENS Madness CD (2015)
2015 was the year Sleeping With Sirens decided to see how far they could push toward mainstream without fully letting go of the post-hardcore roots that built their fanbase. Madness is where that tension lives.
Kellin Quinn's vocal range remains the band's most divisive and most compelling quality, and this record leans into it hard. Slicker production than their earlier work, pop hooks sitting right up front, but the alternative and metalcore bones are still underneath if you know where to listen. It divided fans who wanted more Feel and confused people who expected another With Ears to See. Taken on its own terms it's a solid mid-decade alternative record from a band who genuinely knew how to write a hook. The kind of CD that gets ripped, filed, and still pulled out occasionally.
Format: CD. Full length album, 2015. US origin, alternative/metalcore/pop punk.
