SLEEP: Holy Mountain Tee

Holy Mountain came out in 1992 and basically invented a religion. Thirty-plus years later, people are still converting.

Sleep's second record is the one where Matt Pike, Al Cisneros and Chris Hakius locked themselves in a room, tuned down until the strings went slack, and recorded something that felt less like an album and more like a geological event. The riffs on Holy Mountain move like tectonic plates, slow and inevitable, and this tee is the correct way to announce your allegiance to that particular cult. Stoner doom has its saints, and Sleep sits somewhere near the top of that altar alongside Electric Wizard, Kyuss and Acid King. Wear accordingly.
