Revolusongs is the EP Sepultura released in 2002, deep in the Derrick Green era and still swinging hard, covering everyone from U2 to Devo to Bob Marley and somehow making it all sound like the favelas of Belo Horizonte had opinions about everything. It shouldn't work as well as it does.

This isn't the Sepultura that invented Roots and changed what heavy music could be, but that's not what this release is asking you to care about. Revolusongs is a band staying loose, staying mean, and reminding you that thrash and death metal have always had a political conscience underneath the noise. On picture disc vinyl, it's a proper object for anyone who considers Beneath the Remains essential listening and owns at least one patch that can't be ironed on anymore because the jacket is already full.
