Seahorse (Barbouri Mort) Diaphonised Wet Specimen
The seahorse was already one of nature's strangest decisions. Diaphonise it and you get something that looks like it was conjured rather than born.
Hippocampus barbouri, preserved post-mortem and processed using the diaphonisation technique that renders soft tissue transparent while staining bone and cartilage in deep, otherworldly colour. No two are identical. The result is something that sits perfectly on a desk, a windowsill, a gothic altar shelf, or anywhere you want a small reminder that the natural world is already weirder than anything we've invented. Compact enough to go anywhere, strange enough to belong in a collection people actually stop to look at.
Supplied as a sealed wet specimen. Barbouri mort sourcing, ethically prepared. Colouration varies. Australian made.
